The training, a partnership with MacArthur Foundation, involves 30 community leaders from Upper Nile region in Uganda, a critical watershed for the Upper Nile basin. Through this training, the community leaders will be empowered for environmental, economic and livelihood improvement by enhancing their skills and knowledge. They will also get an opportunity to share experiences on transformative leadership, sustainable natural resources management and clean energy entrepreneurship.

This forum was officially opened by our Executive Director who urged the participants to actively take part in the training and empower fellow communities when they get back to their home country.

The group comprises of representatives from village savings and credit organizations, women groups, community volunteers, community health teams, youth leaders and community forest associations.
