World Resource Institute (WRI) and Partners Meeting in Westin Hotel Lima, Peru.

The president of World Resources Institute Dr. Andrew Steer talked about his inspiration from the late Prof. Wangari Maathai’s work to the guests who attended the meeting including Ms. Wanjira Mathai, Chair of the GBM Board and Project leader for the Wangari Maathai Institute for Peace & Environmental Studies (WMI) who was the guest of honor and the GBM team attending the COP 20.

The president of WRI briefly talked about the great initiative 20 by 20 whereby they are in partnership with over 50 organizations and they intend to restore 20 million hectares of degraded land in Latin America and the Caribbean in restoration by 2020. Ms. Wanjira Mathai GBM board chair, informed the participants that GBM has a great team which is energized in ensuring in making the environment a greener, cleaner world.
