The Green Belt Movement International – Europe will be hosting the second annual Wangari Maathai Memorial Lecture on Tuesday, 24th of June, 2014 at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew in London. We are honoured to have special guest speaker Sir Jonathon Porritt, Founder Director of Forum for the Future, giving a lecture on "Our Brilliant Low-Carbon Future".

Join us Midsummer's Day for an evening commencing with a tour of the gardens at 6 pm, drinks and canapés at 6.30 pm and lecture at 7.15 pm, followed by Q&A and discussion

This annual event, in honour of Nobel Peace Laureate Professor Wangari Maathai, is an opportunity to celebrate her work and legacy together with Green Belt Movement Trustees and staff from both Kenya and the UK.
