In May this year, the Green Belt Movement launched the peace park by planting 148 trees, one for each of the victims of the infamous attack that took place one year ago.
One year ago, a cowardly terrorist attack at Garissa University College robbed this nation of 148 souls.
The highlight of these activities was planting of 6,000 'Peace Trees' in five different schools within Nakuru County
More than 2,300 indigenous tree seedlings were planted.
