Green Belt Movement US Board member-Lorna Taylor speaks to Tampa Bay Times on her commitment to Community Service

In her recent interview with Tampa Bay Times, GBMI-US Board member Lorna Taylor speaks passionately about her long-standing involvement with the Green Belt Movement and close personal friendship with Professor Wangari Maathai.

"She was incredibly brave. I think what is most powerful about her legacy is that she understood the connection between the eradication of poverty, the empowerment of women, conflict resolution, peace, democracy and the environment."

Alongside her Board duties at GBM, Lorna Taylor speaks to Shelley Rossetter on her roles as president and CEO of Premier Eye Care, as chair of the foundation for the Florida Coalition Against Domestic Violence, on the Board of Trustees for the University of Florida, and her involvement in Tampa Bay Businesses for Culture and the Arts.
