GBM are undertaking a follow-up meeting in Kipsyenan secondary school on the landscaping of Wangari Maathai Peace Park, Nakuru County.
The Green Belt Movement attended the 1st Meeting of the Global Environment Facility (GEF)/MEWNR project on Sound Chemicals Management and Minimizing Emission of U-POPs in Kenya.
August 21st - 22nd, 2014: The Green Belt Movement (GBM) through the financial support of Prince of Monaco and Yves Rocher is holding Climate change training to all Samburu County Members of County Assembly in Isiolo.
Nakuru is one of the areas that was adversely affected by post -election violence; GBM through the support of GCS is developing the Wangari Maathai Peace Park, a legacy of the Late Prof Wangari Maathai in promoting peaceful coexistence among different communities in Nakuru County.
This is a smart water project for Green schools (water, sanitation and Hygiene).The teacher’s toilet construction is at its final stages of completion in Kamara, Nakuru County.

Permaculture field on-site practicum and training on agriculture farming techniques/practices, water harvesting and soil conservation in order to improve and enhance livelihood for Samburu communities in Baawa, Ngari, Tamiyoi and Porros sub sites.
